My name is Tiffanie Nabors (I also go by my dad's last name, hence the "Breaux"), and I hope my story finds you well. I am a single mother of four amazing kids named Aubree, Zane, Ahna, and Kai. I am writing to you with a heavy heart but a sense of determination and courage to continue this battle. I am here to tell our story and to seek child custody modification. This past year, I have been battling a Custody battle for Kai and Ahna with their father. A year ago, claims brought up against me resulted in our children's father gaining Primary Domiciliary with Joint Physical Custody of the children, with me receiving supervised visits every weekend. In May 2023, Court Documents were filed with visitation every Friday – Sunday. Since May 2023, I have been able to see my children each weekend, as referenced in the Custodial Schedule. My visitation was abruptly halted in July, and the children's father has been refusing me to have any contact/visits with our children. I text and call to check up on Kai and Ahna almost daily, receiving no answers and being blocked in all communication. I have not been notified of doctor appointments, school events, or extracurricular activities because the father of my children will not inform me. Despite my persistence in trying to gain contact and visits with Kai and Ahna – I am encountering block after block and hurdle after hurdle. It is honestly mentally and emotionally exhausting, and I only want to be able to see our children again. I want to be able to hug, hold, and kiss my children again. I continue to pray to God daily for reunification with them. I plan on obtaining legal counsel, and your support is appreciated. I never thought I'd be in this situation or even being so much in the commune to hear that it was happening. You hope to believe the words you are told even when I obtained legal representation, only seemingly being blindsided during the whole process. Mediation was not something that I should've settled with. So, my choices left me with little time to act, with having to obtain permanent, reliable housing quickly. It was a quick choice that seemed the best then, so I paid for an entire apartment, a year contract cost, deposit included, from obtaining legal counsel for a faulty divorce in a no-fault community property state mentality. My case, amongst others, is not a one-size-fits-all approach and shouldn't have been finalized as it was. I come to you with a humble heart to get our voices heard, my children and me, on the two cases I hope to resolve favorably. My previous landlord refused to return my pre-paid rent for the two months of not living at that residence. I can also get an amended decree regarding what concerns my children and me, court-ordered CS, and the whole aspect of Standard Visitation that was placed. Court-ordered CS has not been paid since week two of July 2023, and it's a constant battle with the AG in enforcement. I have plenty of evidence to support both cases and all concerns that I will bring to a legal representative that I hope to obtain, but I would need caring hearts to donate so that there is support legally through the courts and what is filed in case: F-1824-22-2 & Cause #: SC23-0187-J42. Our peace is what any mother would want, and we would like to think that the AG is doing its job and, as heard and experienced, not being in favor of the NCP when it comes to actually receiving the support needed and ordered.
